the living legends
compete
with tape on their knees
empty room
in her favorite hotel
I call grandma
out my window
the doleful trees
I duck my head
see you next summer
was a common thing
as my hands slipped from hers
laying on the bed
she comes in with a birthday cake
lifts me up
heavy chair
legs trembling
the undefeated season

New Years Resolutions
Time is passing by really fast which means that I need to become even more focused and pay attention to everything. I need to realize that I am becoming an adult and I am responsible for my own actions. New semester means a new start, which is a good thing. I always tell myself that I am not going to slack off and get grades that I don't want, but eventually it always happens. One of the things that I want to work on this year is procrastination. It has always been a serious problem of mine that results into bad grades. I want to work on not procrastinating on everything, not only just school-related work. I also don't want to spend too much time on social media and other things that are not important to me right now. Those are the two things that I really want to work on for this year.

Thoughts in our head
The thoughts in our head are very important. They are why we do the things we do and feel the way we feel. Like the video said, routine and exhaustion often leads to people being annoyed at the actions of other people without even thinking about the reason behind it. It makes us feel that the reason why we are so miserable and unhappy is because of everyone else around us, and not ourselves. So many people only think about themselves first instead of understanding what other's are going through. This issues can be resolved simply by the way we think. Like the video, the supermarket is an example. Imagine that you are running late, and you need to stop by the supermarket to buy ingredients for your family. You get on your way but there is a huge traffic. After you get to the supermarket, its extremely crowded. You finally get your ingredients and you wait in line for a very very long time. You start to think very negatively of everybody else around you. You start to think about how it's the person in front of you driving too slow putting you in this situation right now. You start to think about why everyone must be in the supermarket and this exact time. On the other hand, you can think differently. You can think about how lucky you are to even be able to have a car and have money to buy ingredients at the supermarket. If you think that way, you will be able to understand what other's are going through even though you think you are in a bad situation already.
