Life is full of Memories

Everyone has memories, whether it's vivid or not. I have a lot of memories of my past that I can still remember until today although some of them are pretty blurry. I "categorize" my memories that I still remember into two parts: the memories I had in Taiwan, and the memories I have in the United States. To be honest, there are more events and things that happened in Taiwan that I remember more of . I still have a clear picture of the memories I had and I would never want to lose those memories. They represent my childhood, past, and they are held in a special place in my heart. There is one "memory" of me in Taiwan that will forever be trapped in my head. It shows me talking on the phone from a phone booth in school on a rainy day. This specific picture is memorable because there is a story behind it. The story is that I used to go to tutor everyday after school when I was in Taiwan. Of course, I never wanted to go, so everyday after school I would go to the school's phone booth and call my mom and try to convince her to take me home. So there was one rainy, gloomy day where I was really tired after school so I went to the phone booth again and really wanted my mom to take me home instead of going to tutor. I would always go to the phone booth when it's clean up time in school. Everyone else would be mopping and sweeping their classrooms and I would sneak out and call my mom. That particular image of that rainy day when I tried to call my mom is always vivid in my head. I can always picture it and whenever it is raining, the image will somehow pop up on my mind. That is the kind of memory that I will never forget no matter how long it has been. Everyone should have a memory of their interest no matter who they are. Life is full of memories. I still get those arm chills every time it's raining outside and I get a flashback of that day in school where I cried to my mom for an hour to take me home.

  1. I got the chills on my arm reading this Tim. I too can relate to your categorization of memories because I also grew up in an environment that is totally different from ours today. It is cool to see that we both can recall vivid memories of our distant pasts to cherish even to this day.
